‘Kung Fu Panda 3’ hits Star Cineplex today

Sequal of much-anticipated 3D computer-animated action comedy martial arts film titled ‘Kung Fu Panda 3’, directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson and Alessandro Carloni, will hit Star Cineplex, the pioneer multiplex movie theatre in the country, on June 26 at  Bashundhara City Shopping Mall in the city’s Panthapath area. Produced by DreamWorks Animation and Oriental DreamWorks, the film is a sequel to the 2011 film ‘Kung Fu Panda 2’ and the third installment in the ‘Kung Fu Panda franchise’. The film features the voices of Jack Black, Angelina Jolie,Dustin Hoffman, J. K. Simmons, Jackie Chan, Lucy Liu, Seth Rogen, David Cross, Bryan Cranston, Kate Hudson, and James Hong. Jean-Claude Van Damme and Randall Duk Kim reprise their roles as Master Croc and Oogway from the previous two films. In the film  Po (Jack Black) realizes that he has a lot to learn if he’s going to fulfill the next challenge from his beloved instructor (Dustin Hoffman). After reuniting with his long-lost father (Bryan Cranston), Po must transition from student to teacher and train a group of fun-loving, clumsy pandas to become martial-arts fighters. Together, the kung-fu brethren unite to take on the evil Kai (JK Simmons), a supernatural warrior who becomes stronger with each battle. As of March 6, 2016, ‘Kung Fu Panda 3’ has grossed $133.9 million in North America and $189.9 million in other territories for a worldwide total of $323.8 million. To note, the film will be released with the support of Unilever Bangladesh Limited brand ‘Knorr’ so that buyers of  ‘Knorr’ will get special opportunity to  see the film in some specific screening only at Star Cineplex.
