‘National Hackathon 2016’ April 6-7

The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Department will arrange a two-day long Hackathon competition titled ‘National Hackathon 2016’ aiming to innovate solutions to the challenges to achieve the 10 selected Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), reports UNB. The best young technologists of the country will participate in the competition to be held on April 6-7. They will work for 36 hours at a stretch to find out new solutions to the challenges and drawbacks through technology to achieve the 10 major SDGs. The goals are agricultural productivity, newborns and children, violence against women, sustainable tourism, qualified teachers in education, road accidents, and marine resources, environment in the city, energy efficiency and corruption. The ICT department will sponsor the best ideas to implement the solutions to the challenges. Interested young IT experts can take part in the competition by registering on the website <http://hackathon.ictd.gov.bd/> by yesterday (March 10).
