The Bangladesh Premier Football League will get underway from May 5. The season will start with the Independence Cup football which is expected to kick off on March 30.
 The league committee has finalised the schedule in a meeting on Thursday with league committee chairman Abdus Salam Murshedi in the chair.
However, schedule of domestic football had been deferred for three times while the inter-club players’ transfer was supposed to start from late September or early November of 2015, then it was deferred for October but again it was made another delay to start from December and finally set for January 28 to February 28.
