CHITTAGONG: Police in a series of overnight drives arrested 90 people from different upazilas of the district last night. Abdul Awal, additional superintendent of police (Special Branch) of Chittagong district, said police detained 90 people from different upazilas of the district for their alleged involvement in sabotage acts and vandalism. The detainees also include 83 persons under warrant of arrest and seven accused in regular cases, he said. Police also recovered 16 pieces Yaba tablets, three liters of country made liquor and 150 grams hemp from Lohagara, Raozan and Fatikchhari upazila of the district. Meanwhile, detectives arrested two alleged drug paddlers and seized a truck loaded with 900 bottles of phensidyl from Uttara in the capital early yesterday, reports UNB. The arrested were Md Anamul Hossain alias Rasel and Md Abdur Rahman.
