Tamalika fulfills her long-awaited plan

Popular National Film Award winning actress Tamalika Karmakar , who has enthralled the viewers for decades with her performances on stage and on screen, recently invited over some of her close journalist friends from the entertainment field to sit and chat with them in a homely manner. DhakaLive has news that last Thursday, several journalists from various dailies and magazines spent time with the actress at her place in Greenway Road in the capital’s Maghbazar area. Eminent entertainment reporter Ovi Moinuddin was present along with journalists Rimon Mahfuz, Shah Alam Saju, Khaled Ahmed, Nithor Mahbub, Rakib Hussain, FI Dipu, Marium Sejuti, Rezaur Rahman Rizvi, Alamgir Kabir, Emdadul Huq Milton , Maruf Kibria, photographers Abu Sufian and Dipu Khan.
Tamalika told the journalists “I had the intention for many days to one day invite over some of my close journalist friends to sit and chat with you all in a homely manner and even cook for you. I am extremely grateful that you all took the time to come and I am really delighted. I hope that you shall stand by me during my good times as well as my bad times. Hopefully there will be bigger arrangements in the future for such a gathering.” To note, Tamalika has been expressing interest towards acting, singing, dancing and recitation from a very early age. Over the years, she has established herself as an eminent actress. She first acted in a tele-drama  at a very young age in Nasiruddin Yousuf Bacchu-produced tele-drama titled ‘Alor Dwip Prohor’. After becoming an actress, she first acted in a tele-drama in 1986 titled ‘Haar Na Maana Haar’, produced by Alauddin Ahmed.  Since 1992, she has been associated with the theatre troupe ‘Aryanak’ and performed with the troupe in ‘Pathor’, written by Mamunur Rashid and directed by Azizul Hakim.
Her role in ‘Kittonkhola’ earned her the National Film Award.
