Mousumi, Riaz together in telefilm for first time

ZH Mintu is an eminent cinematographer of Bangladesh and a big number of audience-admired films have been produced in his cinematography. But he was never  involved in direction. This is for the first time that ZH Mintu has made a tele-film titled ‘Megher Arale’. The story thought of the telefilm also came from him, while its dramatization was done by Helal. Three-time National Film Award-winning artistes Mousumi and Riaz have played lead roles in the directorial debut project of ZH Mintu. Meanwhile, after completing the entire work, ZH Mintu has submitted the telefilm to Channel i. The on-air time of the telefilm will be announced shortly on behalf of the channel. Earlier, Mousumi and Riaz were seen together in three films and they even worked together in a tele-drama under the direction Mushfiqur Rahman Gulzar. But this time around, they have paired up together in any telefilm for the first time. Mousumi shared the experience of the work, “I earlier worked in a few films in ZH Mintu’s cinematography, but this is for the first time that I have worked under his direction. He has done the work in an organised way. Besides, Riaz is an amazing person with a beautiful mind, who speaks in a straight line and can fascinate people easily. Though we worked in just two-three films together, but we always have a fantastic relationship.” Riaz said about working with Mousumi, “We both are Scorpio rising and we know that people from this rising can make good friendship. Though we meet quite suddenly, but we have a wonderful friendship. I am overwhelmed to see her unconditional love and care towards the people. An artiste like Mousumi is not born in every decade, and she should be valued for her outstanding acting skills in an appropriate manner.” To note, Mousumi and Riaz acted together in the film ‘Ekjon Songe Chilo’ directed by Shawkat Jamil and also worked under the direction of late noted filmmaker Chashi Nazrul Islam.
