Salahuddin defends players’ suspension

President of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Kazi Mohammed Salahuddin thinks that the verdicts were given against the accused players was a good decision.
Salahuddin, who was exchanging his views with the reporters yesterday on the judgment against seven national team players who breached the code of conduct and for their wrong doing during the SAFF Football and the Bangabandhu Gold Cup Football tournament said that it was right decision, as he was also afraid of whether the punishment would be more serious with giving suspension order to refrain from taking part in the league.
Salahuddin while replying to a query said, “You can make so many comments and to suspend someone is very easy matter. But reality is fully different, so I think, what the decision they have been taken was right. I was afraid of whether the punishment would be stern with giving suspension ruling from the league.”
“If the suspension decision was given, clubs would be sufferers, players’ source of income would also be hampered, they would be jobless. So it is an opportunity for them to rectify themselves, so I think it is a very good decision.”
“You see, it is not always easy to take action, no, I have no connection with this decision or I had no involvement with taking decision and I had no suggestion about this. I think it was not necessary to make me know.”
“You see, if the decision was not taken, the situation was going almost out of control, so I imagined that some decisions were coming.”
