Mamun, Jahid banned from national team for one year

Bangladesh Football Federation has taken disciplinary action against four  national footballers and three  others were warned  yesterday for violating code of conduct.
National team captain Mamunul Islam and forward Jahid Hassan have been banned for one year, Sohel Rana and defender Yasin Khan for six months, while goalkeeper Shahidul Alam Sohel, Yamin Munna and Atiqur Rahman Meshu have been warned to be more sincere.
“Giving importance to better interest of football for future, we have given the judgment against the accused players on the basis of report of the fact finding committee,” Nabil Ahmed, chairman of the National Team Committee (NTC) said yesterday when he disclosed the verdict.
Meanwhile, seven players of the national team were suspected for breaching some code of conducts and discipline and the ‘Fact Finding’ committee of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) had given report to the EC committee of BFF and they handed over it to the NTC to take necessary action. After reviewing all the reports they reached to a conclusion yesterday and gave the verdict with giving punishment.
Nabil Ahmed when stating the judgment to the media said, “We had a long meeting today (Wednesday) and reviewed all reports including the reports of the three-member committee of hearing of accused seven players’ self defense and made the verdict.”
“Goalkeeper  Sohel, Yamin Munna and Atiqur Rahman Meshu were strongly cautioned and advised to be more careful about discipline and to do better performances while they breached the clause-2 of  code of conduct,” said Nabil. Yasin Khan and Sohel Rana breached the clause No 2 and 6 to have the six month ban from the national side.
