A Rajshahi court has asked 5 senior Grameenphone (GP) officials including its CEO to appear before it on March 6 after a case alleging fraud was filed against them by a customer. Hossain Ali, a customer of GP and resident of Sheroil area of Rajshahi city filed the case against five GP officials with the court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate yesterday. The accused named in the case are Sohanur Rahman, Senior Customer Care Manager of GP, Shahidul Alam, Lead Manager of GP Rajshahi Office, Kazi Mohammad Shahid, Chief Human Resource Officer, Mahmud Hossain, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer and Razib Shetty, Chief Executive Officer of GP Baridhara office. The case was filed under sections 406, 418 and 506(2) of the penal code. The plaintiff said after recharging his mobile number 01718314944 through flexi load, money was getting automatically deducted without any use.
