1 killed by BSF in Kushtia

Kushtia: A Bangladeshi national was allegedly shot to death and another injured by members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) in Mohommadpur Dangerpara area of Daulatpur upazila on Monday night, reports UNB. The deceased was identified as Mamun, 25, a resident of Dangerpara village and a cattle trader. Witnesses said the BSF members from Sarkarpara camp in Murshidabad, India opened fire at a group of cattle traders numbering 4-5 while the latter were entering India through the border around 8:30am. Family members of Mamun claimed that Mamun died on the spot during the firing and Alim received bullet injuries when he tried to bring back the body of Mamun. Lt Col Azad, commanding officer of BGB battalion-47, said they had heard that the body of the deceased remained in the Indian territory while the injured cattle trader Alim went missing after the incident, he said.
BGB had already sent a letter to BSF protesting the incident.
