People of Kashem Nagor in Singair upazila of Manikganj district yesterday captured a man accused of murdering two people at Gobindol village in the upazila. Later, the local people handed him over to the police. The man has been identified as Johir Uddin, 65, father-in-law of prime accused Jahidur Rahman and also an accused in the case. Aziz Molla, 50, and his brother Tendul Molla, 45 of Gobindol village were allegedly murdered by their nephews on Sunday following a dispute over property and borrowed money. Their cousin, Karim Molla, 50, was seripusly injured in the attack. He is currently on life support in Savar Enam Medical College Hospital. Aziz Molla’s wife Farida Begum filed a case with the Singair Police Station yesterday against 19 persons, the OC of Singair police station Saiduzzaman said. The OC said the killers went into hiding soon after the incident.
