On the occasion of International Mother Language Day and Amar Ekushey (February 21), different TV channels of the country, including state-own Bangladesh Television (BTV) have planned to air daylong programmes to mark the day in a befitting manner. Among the various special arrangements, a few selective programmes of the day are—
‘Eker Bhetor Dui’ on BTV
A special tele-drama titled ‘Eker Bhetor Dui’ will be aired tonight on BTV after the 8pm news on the occasion of Amar Ekushey. Written by Faridur Reza Sagor, the tele-drama has been produced by Jainal Abedin Sarkar. The cast includes Jhuna Chowdhury, Shahidul Alam Sacchu, Hafizur Rahman Suroj, Akhtaruzzaman, Tutul, Anny Chowdhury, among others.
In the story of the tele-drama, Sobhan Saheb is a school teacher. Much to his dismay, he faces difficulty teaching Bangla to his children. Further adding to his frustration, he finds that there is not much emphasis towards teaching Bangla nowadays. To know rest of the story, the viewers need to watch it on TV screen.
Tele-drama ‘Shada’ on Desh TV
On the other hand, Desh TV will air a tele-drama ‘Shada’ tonight at 7:45 pm. Written and directed by Khairul Papon, Imraul Rafat wrote the screenplay, and the cast includes Raisul Islam Asad, Saberi Alam, Ivanna, Jamal Raja, Nabila, among others.
The plot of the tele-drama revolves around school teacher Zaman Shaheb, who is an honest man with principles.
‘Michiler Mukh’ on RTV
Starring popular actors Tariq Anam Khan and Nusrat Imroze Tisha, a special tele-drama titled ‘Michiler Mukh’ will be aired tonight at 8:20pm on RTV. The tele-drama is directed by Abu Hayat Mahmud.
In the story of the tele-drama, Ismail is a middle-class government employee and lives a very routine life. He also has two teenage daughters and raising them in a proper manner is his main priority. After work, he would come back home and spend time with his daughters. He gets to learn different things from his daughters and feels that they are not growing up in the right way. But he is unable to say anything. The story moves forward from this point.
‘Nayak’ on NTV
NTV will air a fiction titled ‘Nayak’ at 9pm, which includes Raisul Islam Asad, Moutushi Biswas and others.
Besides, model Sporshia-acted tele-drama titled ‘Oboroodh’ will be telecast on Maasranga TV at 8pm and Tania Hossain-starrer tele-drama ‘Manusher Chhaya Obolombone’ on Channel 9 at 8:45pm.
Full-length feature film ‘Bangla’ on Channel i
A full-length feature film titled ‘Bangla’ will be aired on Channel i today at 2:30pm. The film stars popular actors Mahfuz Ahmed, Shabnur and late actor Humayun Faridi, among others.
Besides, NTV will telecast ‘Hajar Bochhor Dhore’ (starring Riaz, Shoshi, Suchanda, ATM Shamsuzzaman) at 8:45am. ‘Megher Onek Rong’ on Boishakhi TV at 10:50am, ‘Jibon Theke Neya’ (starring Razzak, Suchanda, Anwar Hossain, Rowshan Jamil, Khan Ata, Rozy) on Maasranga TV at 2:30pm and Faruk, Babita, Razzak, Anwar Hossain, Khalil, Rozy-starrer film ‘Alor Michhi’ on GTV at 10:15am. l
