Shops gutted in Dimla

A devastating fire gutted 20 shops in Dimla upazila of the district early yesterday.
Fire Service officials said the fire originated from an electric short circuit in a shop and spread to the adjacent 19 sops late at night. Valuables, including LP gas, were burnt down in the incident. Two units of fire fighters from Domar and  Dimla rushed to the spot and managed to douse the blaze after three hours of efforts, said Dimla fire station official Abu Bakkar Siddique.
 Dimla upazila parishad chairman Toyabur Rahman visited the spot and assured the fire affected people of possible assistance.
