The progress in implementation of the Annual Development Programme(ADP) over the first six months of the current fiscal year is Tk 23,777.00 crore, representing 24 percent of total allocation, reports BSS. Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal came up with this disclosure while responding to a written query from treasury bench member Israfil Alam (Naogaon-6) in the Jatiya Sangsad. The planning minister said this amount includes Tk 1,580 crore (25 percent) spent in the GOB sector, Tk 6,969 crore (20 percent) in the project aid and Tk 1,000 core (25 percent) in own financing. Kamal said a total of 1,215 projects including own funded ones under 53 ministries and divisions were included in the ADP for the 2015-16 fiscal year. “The total allocation against these schemes is Taka 100997.00 crore,” he said. The planning minister said of the total ADP allocation, Tk 62,500.00 crore was earmarked for the GOB sector, Tk 34,500.00 crore as project aid and Tk 3,997.00 crore for own funding. Kamal said the Planning Commission has framed an “ADP Policy” for proper distribution and spending of the money allocated against the ADP in all areas of the country. The policy has given priority to the “balanced development” of Bangladesh, he said, adding the ministries and divisions have been asked to ensure allocation for “important schemes” undertaken in the ADP for area and region-based “balanced development”.
