Resume visa processing from Dhaka President urges UK govt

President Abdul Hamid yesterday urged the UK government to take steps so that British visa can be processed from Bangladesh.  The President made the call when a delegation of Labour Friends of Bangladesh (LFB) in the UK, led by Sir Keir Starmer MP, made a courtesy call on him at Bangabhaban, reports UNB.  Mentioning that the United Kingdom is the home to the largest number of Bangladesh nationals living abroad, President Hamid expressed the hope that the UK government would review its decision of transferring the visa point to New Delhi, as this has caused difficulties to visa applicants in Bangladesh.
 President's press secretary Joynal Abedin briefed reporters after the meeting.  Abdul Hamid also said three Bangladeshi-origin British were elected MPs in the UK in last election, which proves that interest about politics among Banglades
