Today is the birthday of eminent Nazrul Sangeet singer Sujit Mustafa. Even though he has no specific plans to celebrate his special day, various arrangements have been made by his well wishers to make the day special and memorable for him.
Regarding plans for his birthday, the artiste said, “To those who I teach music to, they will be coming just like any other day to come and learn music. Through music and singing, a good portion of the time will be well spent with them. There are various other programmes that may have been planned about which I am not fully aware. But most importantly, I would like to ask everyone to pray for me that I stay well and healthy.”
On the occasion of his birthday, Nazrul Sangeet Shilpi Parisad has arranged a special programme tomorrow on the occasion of his birthday. Prior to that, Friendship Media Bangladesh has arranged for programme to celebrate his birthday, where Sujit Mustafa’s Dhaka University friends will gather and have a good time. Sujit Mustafa has been the advisor of Friendship Media Bangladesh for the past one year and the general secretary of Nazrul Sangeet Shilpi Parisad.
Through Friendship Media Bangladesh and with the guidance of Sujit Mustafa, potential musical talents from all over Bangladesh are groomed and trained so that they can pursue their passion and become future artistes.
On another note, three Nazrul Sangeet albums from Sujit Mustafa are now available. They are titled ‘Cheona Sunoyna’, ‘Mor Priya Hobe Esho Rani’ and a duet album ‘Ogo Priyo Tobo Gaan’. l
