Two garments workers were found dead outside their homes in Gazipur and Meherpur yesterday.In Gazipur, a garment worker was found dead in a ditch at Abdar village in Sreepur upazila yesterday.
Police recovered the body of Kalpana Akter, 28, a worker of Akbar Cotton Mills in   the area and wife of Siddique Mia, from the ditch near to her house in the morning and sent it to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy, said Ashrafuzzaman, sub-inspector of Sreepur Model Police Station.
The body bore injury marks in the neck. Police said the couple, hailing from Trishal upazila of Mymensingh district, used to live at a rented house in the area. Kalpana left her workplace at around 10 pm on Thursday and did not return home. Her husband along with the wife of the house owner went out in search of her and found the body of Kalpana with ropes round her neck in a ditch, near her house and informed police.
 In Meherpur, police recovered the hanging body of a garments worker from a mango orchard near Kedarganj Bazaar in Mujibnagar upazila.
The victim, identified as Surekha Khatun, 36, daughter of Asan Ali of Bhoberpara village in the upazila, was a garments factory worker in Dhaka.
Police said local people found the hanging body yesterday morning and informed police.
