The Institute of Food and Nutrition Sciences (INFS) of Dhaka University hosted a workshop on “Understanding Basic Nutrition Components for Nutrition Club Members” recently to train members of different nutrition clubs. Participants from INFS and ULAB (University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh) joined a training session, conducted by nutrition experts from Helen Keller International. Topics such as importance of nutrition, relevance to health for women, children and adolescent girls, smart cooking steps for preserving food nutrients, importance of proper hand washing etc. were covered, given their relevance to rural Bangladesh.
