Popular actor-dramatist-director Azad Abul Kalam, who has directed three documentaries and a tele-drama earlier, has taken another step forward as he is directing his very first film. Titled ‘Oshukher Naam Bhalobasha’, Azad Abul Kalam himself wrote the script, dialogue and screenplay. DhakaLive has news that the shooting of Azad’s directorial debut film has already taken place for five days in the capital’s Uttara, Diabari and Hatirjheel area. Popular actors Shatabdi Wadud, Intekhab Dinar, Priti, Rajib Saleheen among others are playing different characters in the film. However, in an unfortunate note, the shooting has now been halted due to budget restraints. Even though the director has used his own resources for the purpose of the film, financial constraints are the main reasons why the shooting has stopped. However, Azad Abul Kalam is hopeful that a producer will step in and the problem will be solved. Regarding the film, the actor-director said, “Those who have acted in the film, each and every one of them did a fantastic job in their respective roles. I took up the task of directing the film with a lot of excitement. If all goes well and if the film sees its completion, then I am sure the viewers will thoroughly enjoy it.” He informed that he aims to complete the shooting by next month.
