A Chittagong court yesterday issued arrest warrant against 15 people, including former Jamaat-e-Islami lawmaker Shahjahan Chowdhury, in a case filed for killing a human hauler driver in an arson attack in 2013, reports UNB.
Metropolitan Session’s Judge Mohammad Shahnur issued the warrants after the case was shifted to the court from metropolitan magistrate court, said public prosecutor Advocate Fakhruddin Chowdhury. Mehedi Hasan, sub-inspector of Chandgaon Police Station, filed a case against 15 people, including Shahjahan Chowdhury.
On March 23, 2015, Sajal Kanti Dey, sub-inspector of the station, submitted a charge sheet against 26 people.
