KHULNA: Police yesterday said that Mayor of Khulna City Corporation (KCC) and general secretary of city unit of BNP Moniruzzaman Moni has been charge sheeted along with 42 people for attacking duty police on November 23, 2013, reports BSS. They said the charge sheeted persons also included former lawmaker and president of City Unit BNP Nazrul Islam Monju, three councilors of KCC and activists of BNP-Jamaat 20 party alliance. The chargesheeted three councilors are Gousul Azam (Ward-20), K M Humayun Kabir (Ward-27) and Zahangir Hossain Helal(Ward-31). Sub Inspector Kazi Moshtak Ahmed of Khulna Police Station already submitted the charge sheet to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court (CMM) Mesbaul Haque who has fixed July 17, 2015 for hearing on the charge sheet.
