Skeleton of teenage boy recovered from toilet
Police recovered the skeleton of an abducted teenage boy after three months of his killing from an abandoned toilet at Darus Salam in the capital yesterday. The victim was identified as Abul Bashar, son of Lokman Hossain, hailing from Patuakhali district Sub Inspector Jalal Uddin of Darus Salam police station said they arrested two killer suspects who were identified as Shahidul Islam Bhutto and Rokibul Hasan from Gabtoli bus terminal area yesterday morning. During their primary interrogation, they admitted that on the night of February 17, they stabbed Bashar to death at Dhipnagar near Gabtoli Bus terminal and hid the body inside the abandoned toilet of the market. According to their information, we recovered the skeleton of the victim, SI Jalal said. Talking to The Independent, Inspector Selimozzaman, officer-in-charge of Darus Salam police station said victim’s cousin Robiul Hossain brought Bashar to the capital in the name of providing job on February 10. About the reason behind the killing, he said, due to their family disputes over land, Robiul killed Bashar in association with arrested Bhutto and Rokibul. They have also given confessional statement before a Dhaka Court involving the prime accused Robiul, who was living at the Gabtoli City Colony.
