Housemaid found dead

Police recovered the body of a housemaid from the residence of senior assistant judge at Mokbular Rahman College Road yesterday.
She has been identified as Ambia Kathun 13 , daughter of Jomshed Ali, hailing from Dimla upazila in Nilphamari district. Police and locals said Ambia Katun had been working as housemaid in the house of Md. Lutfor Rahman, a senior assistant judge at the Panchagarh judge’s court. Mokarma Margi Mim, wife of the assistant judge, said Ambia went to her room at night after taking dinner. Next day, she did not wake up and the door of her room remained closed from inside. On receiving the information, the police broke open the door and found the body of the maid hanging from the ceiling. The body has been sent to hospital for postmortem, the police said.
Seven crude bombs seized

Police recovered seven crude bombs from Jessore central bus terminal on Monday night. According to police sources, a team of Kotwali police, led by SI Nasiruddin, on getting prior information raided the Abdul Alim Tea Stall at the central bus terminal at about 10 pm on Monday night and found the bombs that were lying abandoned there.
SI Nasiruddin said the terrorists, who were preparing to commit subversive activities, fled the tea stall before the police arrival leaving the bombs behind. OC of Kotwali (investigation) police station Shaikh Gonimia said the police are trying to find out the criminals who have kept the bombs there.
Woman kills daughter
Bhola: A woman made an abortive attempt to commit suicide after reportedly killing her minor daughter over a family feud in Lalmohan upazila on Monday, reports UNB.
Officer-in-charge of Lalmohan Police Station Aktaruzzaman said Surma, wife of Abul Kashem, who works as a day labourer in Dhaka, first poured poison into the mouth of her daughter Busra, 10, and then took the same around 1pm following a feud with her husband over his second marriage.
