Soshee recalls memories of debut film again

About a decade ago, brilliant actress Sharmin Joha Soshee made her silver screen debut through the film titled ‘Hajar Bochor Dhore’ directed by Kohinoor Akhtar Suchanda. Based on the popular novel with the same title by Zahir Raihan, the film earned her huge appreciation from the viewers for her unique role as Tuni. In connection of her praiseworthy acting skills, she was well sought after by the media to speak about the film in 2005 and even a few more years after 2005. However, for the last five years, she has not been seen in any television programmes talking about her first film ‘Hajar Bochor Dhore’.
Now again, after a long break, the actress had to speak about her debut film and share some fond memories about it in BTV’s ongoing magazine programme ‘Chitrakotha’, directed by Tuhin Reza.  She spoke with the host Sushma Sarkar about her different experiences. The shooting of this particular episode took place on Monday at the premises of the Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC).
In addition to sharing stories about the shooting spot and other interesting stories centring the film, the actress also shared her thoughts and experiences about acting in the film. She spoke for nearly half an hour about ‘Hajar Bochor Dhore’.
Regarding her appearance in the magazine progarmme, Soshee said, “It seems that for the first time, I have spoken in full details about my first film. To be honest, acting in the film had a huge impact in my life. I am forever grateful to the director Kohinoor Akhtar Suchanda for giving me that opportunity. I have learnt a lot about acting from her through her guidance.” The episode of ‘Chitrakotha’ featuring Soshee will be aired any Saturday on BTV at 7:30 pm.
