A speedy trial tribunal in Rajshahi yesterday sentenced 15 BNP-Jamaat activists to life term imprisonment and 28 others to different jail terms in a violence case filed in Sirajganj in 2013, reports UNB. The convicts hail from different villages of Sadar upazila in Sirajganj district. The court also fined the lifers Tk 10,000 each, in default, to suffer six months more in jail. Thirty-five out of 60 accused in the case, including one lifer, were present in the dock when the judge pronounced the verdict.
