State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak today said the government will establish 49 computer labs and 500 multimedia class rooms by one year in the district, reports BSS.
"Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has made easy the people's lifestyle through information and technology. The government has taken a challenge to take forward Bogra district," he said while addressing as the chief guest the inaugural session of the three-day digital fair at Bogra Zila School ground yesterday.
Palak said the country was deprived of the benefit of Submarine Cable in 1992 as the then prime minister did not agree to connect the cable on the pretext of information trafficking.
He said the government has been working relentlessly to ensure security of the citizen's life. So, the government will not tolerate any militancy and fundamentalism in the country, he added.
The state minister also said the district will come under CCTV Camera to protect the repetition of sabotage and destructive acts which happened on January, 5 in 2014 during the parliamentary election.
Among others, Deputy Commissioner M Ashraf Uddin and Superintendent of Police M Asaduzzaman spoke on the occasion.
