Shooting of ‘52 Theke 71’ begins in Pubail

National Film Award winning artistes Ferdous and Nipun are working under the direction of veteran filmmaker Delwar Jhana Jhantu for the first time. The duo will be seen playing the lead roles in the film titled ’52 Theke 71’, whose story, dialogue and screenplay have been written by the director himself. DhakaLive has news that the shooting of the film has begun from Monday in Pubail, on the outskirts of the capital. In this film, Ferdous is playing as a freedom fighter named Rahim. Ferdous also appeared as a freedom fighter earlier in the films titled ‘Guerrilla’, ‘Dhrubatara’, ‘Shuvoner Swadhinata’. Besides, he is also acting in yet another film titled ‘Postmaster 71’, which has been produced by Ferdous himself.
Ferdous said about acting as a freedom fighter again and working under Delwar Jahan’s direction, “I always feel appeal from the bottom of my heart to play the role of a freedom fighter. I also feel that it is my responsibility to enact these types of characters. A sense of respect and passion for these types of roles always work in mind.”
“I am working under the direction of Delwar Jahan Jhantu for the first time. Within a few days of the shooting, I have understood that he is not that type of director, who allows any relaxation about acting. He continues shooting, until he himself becomes satisfied”, Ferdous added.
On the other hand, Nipun is acting as Sakhina in the film. In the story of the film, Sakhina attempts to commit suicide while having no other option. But Rahim saves her life. Nipun shared her experience of the work, “Delwar Jahan Jhantu is such a director, who shows an artiste how to act for the role during the shooting. Not only this, but also he takes the shot in the camera. Getting the opportunity of working under the direction of such a brilliant director is my good fortune. And, I always feel wonderful to work with Ferdous.”
To note, Ferdous and Nipun-acted last two films were Manik Manabik’s ‘Shuvoner Swadhinata’ and Arup Ratan’s ‘Swarga Theke Narak’.
