On the occasion of Valentine’s Day, popular singer-music director Kumar Biswajit is coming up with a duet album titled ‘Basanter Banya’ for the listeners. Singers Samina Chowdhury, Nancy and Kolkata’s Shuvomita are his co-artistes in the upcoming album, which is expected to release on this Valentine’s Day. Except Samina Chowdhury, both of the co-artistes have already lent their vocals to three songs each with Kumar Biswajit. DhakaLive has news about the progress of ‘Basanter Banya’ that Shuvomita lent her vocal for the album in One Zero Four Studio in Kolkata, while Nancy has completed the recording of her part in Kumar Biswajit’s own studio in Uttara in Dhaka. The album will feature a total number of 10 tracks; among them, there will be eight new tracks and two old songs.
Kumar Biswajit said about the album, “By any means, the album has to reach to the hands of the listeners on this Valentine’s Day. That’s why we are working hard to complete the album in time. Mix-Mastering of the album is also in rapid progress.”
“When we perform at home and abroad, we notice a unique interest towards duet songs among the audience during the shows. Apart from the playback songs, I do not have duet songs in that sense. Considering all these facts, if an album of duet songs will be done, it will not be a bad idea”, the celebrated music director added. Besides lending his vocal to the songs, Kumar Biswajit has also done tune and music arrangement of all tracks for the album. l
