RAJSHAHI: A three-day flower fair-2016 began on Moni Bazar premises in the city yesterday aimed at meeting the gradually increasing demands of the flower-loving people, reports BSS. Rajshahi Boikali Sangha (RSS) and One Bank Limited jointly organised the fair. Different nursery owners of the city have set up more than 18 stalls that are displaying a wide range of blossoms. Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank Zinnatul Bakeya inaugurated the fair as chief guest. Managing Director of One Bank Limited Fakhrul Islam, RSS President Md Moniruzzaman and its General Secretary Roisuddin Babu were present on the occasion. Flower traders in the fair demanded storage facilities for preservation of flowers which are procured from the countryside. They said such facilities will benefit flower cultivators as well as provide avenues for introducing flower-based industries.
