After a hiatus of four years, the council of Dhaka University unit Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) will be held on the Aparajeya Bangla premises at Dhaka University tomorrow. The council will be held as per the date announced by BCL President HM Badiuzzaman Sohag on May 8. Over the past few days, aspirants of different posts at the organisation have started showing their power and lobbying the top leaders of Awami League and the BCL. Centring the council, the aspirants have been gathering at Madhur Canteen on the campus and trying to gain the attention of senior and former leaders of the BCL. Some of the aspirants are: Haji Muhammad Mohsin Hall President Maksud Rana Mithu and General Secretary Mehedi Hasan, Surjo Sen Hall President Mobaraque Hossain and General Secretary Shamsul Arefin Sujon, SM Hall President Mehedi Hasan and General Secretary Nijamul Islam Didar, Shaheed Sergeant Zahurul Haque Hall President Rifat Jaman, General Secretary Al-Nahian KhanJoy, and organising secretary Sams e Noman, Jasim Uddin Hall President Mehedi Hasan Roni and General Secretary BM Ehtesham, Jatir Jonok Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall President  Shakil and General Secretary Yeaz Al-Riad, DU unit organising secretary Aditto Nandi, and many others.
