Monirampur police recovered a large number of machetes and other deadly devices from the office of Monirampur upazila BNP office on Saturday night.
According to Assistant Police Super Billal Hossain, acting on a tip off, Moniram-pur police raided BNP office, situation near the house of BNP president Monirampur Advocate Shahid Iqbal Hossain, at Naricalpatty and seized 18 machetes, 6 Chinese axes, a large number of hockey sticks and other lethal materials from there. But they could not arrest anyone in this connection.
When contacted Officer in-Charge of the police station Taherul Islam said BNP men of that area were planning   to carry out subversive activities.
