Police in Nicaragua have rescued 15 Bangladeshi migrants wandering on a highway. The Bangladeshis were rescued while they were wandering after their smugglers abandoned them, according to the Associated Press. Quoting Police Commissioner Leonidas Roque, local media on Thursday reported that the migrants were being taken from Costa Rica to Honduras. That route takes them across Nicaragua on their way to the United States. Roque said the migrants were found "disoriented" about 20km south of Managua. The migrants said the smugglers had robbed them. They said they had walked for three days from the Costa Rican border.
