A youth was killed in a road accident in Ulania-Patabunia road of Golachipa upazila on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Md. Jasim Uddin, 38, of Patabunia village-in the upazila.Police said Jasim was critically injured after a motorcycle hit him from behind when he was crossing Ulania-Patabunia road of the upazila. He was taken to Golachipa upazila health complex. The attending doctor there referred him to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital, but Jasim died on the way. Police sent the body to Patuakhali sadar hospital morgue for post mortem.A case has been registered with Golachipa police station in this connection.
