Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker and Commonwealth Parliamentary Association’s Executive Committee Chairperson Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury yesterday called for giving proper recognition to women’s contribution to the agriculture sector, reports BSS. “Though women have been playing the most important role in the agriculture sector, they have no proper recognition,” she told a delegation of experts of “Food Security and Nutrition” programme under the World Food Programme at her JS Secretariat office.
