Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital’s intern doctor Shamim Topu was found near the office of the detective police at Minto Road in the capital last night, after 32 hours of his abduction. He was dropped off by the abductors, with his eyes and hands tied, around 10pm, his family said.  Later, he went to nearby policemen and sought help. The doctor was later handed over to his elder brother.  Local police acknowledged the incident. Topu’s abduction sparked massive protests among his colleagues that hit the activities of the hospital yesterday.
