BM College students lay siege to principal office for hour

Agitating students of Barisal Brojomohun College (BM College) laid siege to principal office for an hour yesterday protesting the announcement of date of honours second year examination. The also also blocked the road in front of the college for one hour for same demand. The National University authority announced the date of the examination from January 20, before 4 months of year ending. Prof Emanul Hakim Badsha, principal of the collage, said the students of the concerned years after hearing the date of the examination left the class rooms and confined the office of the principle and later blocked the road for an hour. After facing the situation college principal talked to the NU authority over the issue and explained the students the present situation. NU officials said to avoid the sessions jam, the authority took this decision to hold the examinations, said college principal.
On the other hands agitatin g students said that they have more four months time for their better result. Ignoring the student right the National University authority announced the exam date before four months of the year ending, the students said. If the NU authorities do not chang their decision the students will wage tougher movement regarding the issues. At one stage collage principal Prof Emanul Hakim Badsha, Chairman of Barisal education board and police officials rushed to the road and able to control the situation after talking to the students. Later, students withdrew the road blocking programme.
