Massive changes in
nat’l team soon

A huge change is coming in the national football team, as the senior vice-president of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Abdus Salam Murshedi stated to the reporters yesterday after their EC meeting. After a humiliating elimination of Bangladesh from the ongoing SAFF Championship, BFF are very shocked with the national team’s frustrating result, as they took the decision to make a big change in the national team. Bangladesh suffered a crushing 0-4 defeat at the hands of reigning champions Afghanistan in their first match in Kerala, India. But the soccer fans surprised to see another humiliating 3-1 defeat to Maldives. Bangladesh, who were already eliminated from the tournament, will take on Bhutan in their last group match today at 4 pm.
Salam said, “Actually, we are all shocked, this was very much unexpected result, we are playing with a strong team like Australia or any other teams, all the teams are of this region, so we are upset with the result.”
“So we discussed all in our meeting that there should be a change in the team management, you will get a big change in the team. We formed a three-member fact- finding committee comprised with Sheikh Mohammed Aslam, Ilias Hossain and Azmol Hossain Tapon.”
“The committee will submit the report by three days after the team’s return home and we will take next steps.”
But it was something contradictory statement of  Salam Murshedi while he also said, “Right now we are not going to take such a decision that can generate a bad impact in the team, ahead of two international tournaments- Bangabandhu Gold Cup International Football tournament and South Asian Games.”
However, the EC committee also took some decisions in the meeting while the first meeting of the organising committee headed by the Finance Minister, Abul Mal Abdul Muhith and the draw ceremony of the Bangabandhu Gold Cup will be held tomorrow at the hotel Pan Pacific Sonargaon.
The meeting also approved the Audit reports of 2012, 2013 and 2014.
Salam also stated that they will seriously concentrate to begin the Academy work as they will have an agreement with a corporate house to run the academy.
