Audience-admired actress Aparna will be performing for Chittagong’s popular theatre troupe Nandikar for the occasion of the troupe’s 41st founding anniversary. A number of four play directed by Nandikar troupe leader Alok Ghosh will be staged at the four-day event, which will be taking place from December 24-27 at the Chittagong Nandankanan Theatre Institute. DhakaLive has news that, Aparna, who is the daughter of Alok Ghosh, will be performing under the direction of her father for the plays ‘Paappunno’ and ‘Gyaan Brikkher Phol’ to be held on December 24 and 26 respectively. For that purpose, the actress has set off yesterday for Chittagong on an early morning flight.
Aparna has been involved with Nandikar since 2003 and plans on remaining attached to the troupe. Regarding the troupe and her association with it, Aparna expressed her thoughts ‘Nandikar has played a major role towards me becoming today’s Aparna. I can never deny that. They always make an attempt to involve me in their works and I do the same as well. I am really excited about the fact that I will be performing under the direction of my father. As a daughter, this is something truly special for me.”
To note, Aparna performed for Nandikar before in various plays such as ‘Leo Tolstoy’, ‘Court Martial’ and ‘Goray Golod’. l
