Police rescued a housewife from Khutigachha village in Tarash upazila of Sirajganj district yesterday morning after missing for six days. Police also arrested a youth during the drive.
 The victim was identified as Rajiya Khatun, 20, wife of Abdul Bari of Hassanpur village and daughter of Saiful Islam of Hamkuriya village in the same upazila. Police said that, Rajiya went to missing on December 14 from her husband house. Her father Saiful Islam filed a case with the respective police station saying that his daughter was abducted.
 Acting on a tip off, a team of police conducted a drive at the Khutigachha village yesterday morning and rescued her alive. Police also arrested Rafikul Islam, 25, son of Rahmat Ali Munshi of Birohani village in the upazila in this connection.
