Two private hospitals were fined Tk55,000 in Gazipur city yesterday on charges of indulging in various irregularities . A mobile court led by executive magistrate Mohammed Tawhid Bin Hasan fined the hospitals during a drive in the city on Monday noon. Magistrate Tawhid Bin Hasan said Ramiza Hospital and Diagnostic Centre in the city was fined Tk15,000 for running the hospital without having an experienced pathologist. On the other hand, Al-Noor Islami Hospital in the same area was fined Tk40,000 for providing services with unhygienic operation theatre and insufficient number of beds defying the existing rules to run a hospital.
