Grameenphone in collaboration with BDMotorcyclist has launched a training programme titled Defensive Motorbike Training for Distribution House Field Force.
This training programme aims to equip more than 2,000 sales executives and supervisors with advance level riding tactics, skills, and responsible road-safety acts through 3 phases and 65 sessions, maintaining all the health safety guidelines, according to a press release.
Syed Tanvir Husain, CHRO, Grameenphone, said, “We deeply believe in running our business operations responsibly for the overall eco-system. Our field force is an integral part of our business, and we must act on to safeguard them from any associated risks while they are riding bikes. As the growing number of road safety issues, accidents and loss of valuable lives concern us, we must act on building mass awareness, taking necessary actions, and equipping riders with advanced riding skills to prevent any unwanted loss. We are committed to train all of our field forces in partnership with BDMotorcyclist and look forward to even greater industry collaboration to create a safety net for all.”
The programme plan suggests that 1,707 bikes are currently used for Grameenphone’s market operations. Nine significant regions have been marked across the country, where the training programme shall run till March 2023. Grameenphone
strives to maintain a workplace that prioritizes people safet and health and provides necessary security to all the employees in the value chain. And in alignment to their responsible business conduct, the organisation expects to create awareness regarding safe riding through the programme, ultimately empowering societies with better skills to protect their life and livelihood.
