Fiji will ease Covid-19 restrictions and announce its reopening for international travel after hitting a vaccination milestone. Changes to the country's virus restrictions would be announced on Sunday afternoon after 80 percent of the adult population received both doses of a Covid-19 vaccine, Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama says.

English rock group Genesis is forced to cancel four UK tour dates after band members tested positive for coronavirus ahead of shows in London and Glasgow.
- 600,000 Covid deaths in Brazil -
Brazil passes 600,000 deaths from Covid-19, the health ministry announces. The country of 213 million has also recorded more than 21.5 million cases of the deadly virus.
- Rabiot to miss Nations League -
Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot will miss France's Nations League final with Spain after testing positive for Covid-19, the French Football Federation says. The 26-year-old will not travel to Milan for Sunday's clash at the San Siro.
- Over 4.9 million dead -
The coronavirus has killed at least 4,839,808 people since the outbreak emerged in China in December 2019, according to an AFP compilation of official data on Saturday. Taking into account excess mortality directly and indirectly linked to Covid-19, the World Health Organisation estimates the death toll could be two to three times higher.
