SYLHET: Police in a drive seized a truck, which was hijacked from Pubail area of Gazipur district on Friday, from a restaurant in Kumargoan area of Sylhet city on Sunday evening, reports UNB. On a secret information police conducted drive in the area around 5:30pm and seized the truck from ‘Habiba Restaurant’, said Akhter Hossain, officer-in-charge of Jalalabad police station. Police also arrested restaurant owner Fakhrul Islam in this connection. Meanwhile, rice trader Subash Prasad Kanu of Dupchanchia upazila in Bogra said he sent a truck laden with 300 sacks of rice for Comilla on Decemeber 11. Later, the truck was hijacked in Pubail area of Joydebpur in Gazipur district. He filed a general diary in Dupchanchia Police Station in this connection.
