Ahmed Shehzad gave the Comilla Victorians batting line up stability what they needed. Once Shehzad was included into the team, he turned the ordinary batting line up to a strong unit by providing a talismanic impetus. In the last three BPL matches, including yesterday’s match against Sylhet Super Stars, Comilla won two and those two wins were scripted by Shehzad. On most of the occasions, he had to come into the crease with the opening partnership failed to give a blazing start. He had to play a double role-steadying the innings and starting onslaught and both of those two tasks he did astutely. It was no different in the match against Super Stars also. He came to the crease with the side reeling to seven for one. He held together the innings from that position and later paced up the scoreboard by playing some flashy shots. His 42 off 31 was catalyst in Comilla’s respectable 150 for four which was enough to sink the hapless Super Stars.
