At least six activists, including a leader, were injured yesterday in a clash between two rival groups of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) of Chittagong University (CU) unit over establishing supremacy. The injured are --- former organising secretary Nazmul Hossain, Niyaz of Physics department, Mithul of Chemistry department, Jihad of Geography department, Rahul Mazumdar of Political Science department, Billal Hossain of Institute of Education and Research Training and Jahid of Computer Science department. Hathazari police station Inspector (Investigation) Md Salah Uddin, said the clash started at 2:40 pm when “Concord” a Shuttle train based group of BCL activists attaked its rival group “Akakar” another shuttle train based group’s activists Rahul in CU rail station area.  Afterwards, the two groups attacked each other with machetes and sticks that left six activists of Akakar injured. Five of them were sent to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital and the rest were admitted to university’s medical centre, said police.
