National Electricity Week-2015 began yesterday with a call for creating much awareness among the people to stop misuse of electricity and its system loss, reports BSS.
 To mark the week, the offices of Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) and Rural Electrification Board in collaboration wit local administration jointly chalked out elaborate programmes in districts.  
The programme includes rally, publicity, pasting of posters, leaflet distribution, illegal electric line disconnection, and motivational campaign on use of energy saving bulb and installation of digital metre and solar panel.
Speakers at one of the functions said the officials and the employees of the BPDB and REB have been asked to take necessary steps to halt misuse of electricity and its system loss anyway and urged them to discharge their duties with sincerity, transparency and accountability.
