Ispahani Eye Institute and Hospital Bangladesh celebrated its 55th founding anniversary with various programme on its premises at Farmgate in the capital recently, says a press release. Founded by the late MA Ispahani, the hospital began its journey as a charitable dispensary and later it developed into an eye hospital in 1960, the first of its kind in the country. The non-profit organisation has been utilising modern ophthalmologic technologies and hospital equipment. The hospital provides general facilities at very low cost, as well as private facilities, which are more comfortable and upscale. Ali Behrouze Ispahani, chairman, Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute & Hospital, Zahida Ispahani, adviser of Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute & Hospital, management committee members, Mridul Kumar Sarkar, CEO, Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute and Hospital, doctors, nurses, paramedics, staff, were present on the occasion.
