A group of the National Sami Theatre of Norway visited Bangladesh Institute of Theatre Arts (BITA) in Chittagong on Sunday. The four-member team of Norway already visited Sweden, Finland, India, Nepal as part of the exchanging views, experiences, problems regarding culture of indigenous people. They also visited ‘Folk Musical Instrument Preservation Centre’ of BITA in Patiya upazila of Chittagong on Sunday. BITA is an NGO working for music of indigenous people and grassroots people through theater activities. They have also a ‘Folk Musical Instrument Preservation Centre’ in Patiya upazila in Chittagong. The group members are: Haukur Gunnarsson, Director, Anitta Suikkari, actors, Olav Johan Eira, lights and monitors, Svein Egil Oskal, sound engineer of the group. During the visit Shisir Dutta, executive director and members of BITA was present.
