Summit funded newly-built primary school inaugurated in Gazipur

Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque MP inaugurates Summit funded newly-built 38 No Kalakoir Government Primary School in Gazipur on Saturday. Summit Group, one of the country's leading conglomerates, on Saturday handed over the newly constructed school building of 38 Kalakoir Government Primary School in Gazipur sponsored by the company. 

The new school building was constructed on 0.8 acres of land at a total cost of Tk5.57 crore. The construction was fully funded and managed by Summit Gazipur II Power Limited, according to a press release.

One behalf of Summit Group, Managing Director of Summit Gazipur II Power and Summit Ace Alliance Power Engineer Md Mozammel Hossain handed over the school building to the District Primary Education Officer Md Mufajjol Hossain.

Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque inaugurated the school building as the chief guest, while Lt Col (Retd) Muhammad Faruk Khan, chair of the parliamentary standing committee on foreign affairs; and Mohammad Zahangir Alam, mayor of Gazipur City Corporation, were present as special guests at the event

Addressing the event, AKM Mozammel Haque said, "We appreciate companies like Summit that work with integrity and efficiency. It has built the power plants in the district and built this school and mosque very quickly."

Among the senior officials, Vice-Chairman of Summit Group Latif Khan, Managing Director of Summit Power Lt. Gen. (Retd) Abdul Wadud, District Primary Education Officer Md Mufajjol Hossain, Alhaj Khorshad Alam Sarker, President, School Committee and Councilor (Ward No: 13), Gazipur City Corporation, Farjana Akter, Head Teacher of 38 No Kalakoir Government Primary School were present at the event.
