Jamaat should be banned: Mozammel

Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque on Friday said Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami as a party of war criminals should be banned in the country soon.
The minister said relatives and children of freedom fighters, who are misguided by the vested quarters, should be brought to the right track of the spirit and history of the War of Liberation. AKM Mozammel Haque said this while speaking as chief guest at a meeting on Dhanua Kamalpur School ground in Bakshiganj upazila in Jamalpur district. The meeting was arranged marking the Dhanua Kamalpur Free Day.
He said we are going to add a 100-point test on the War of Liberation in BCS examination so that the government high officials could know the true history of the country.
The minister said the government has already taken steps to increase the monthly allowance of freedom fighters, dormitory for homeless freedom fighters and free healthcare facility for all freedom fighters.
Freedom fighter Mahbubul Haque Chisti, Information and Research Secretary, Bangladesh Muktijodha Sansad, Central Command Council, presided over the meeting.
Religious Affairs Minister Professor Matiur Rahman, Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan, State Minister for Textiles and Jute Mirza Azam, local lawmaker Abul Kalam Azad, Chairman, Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sansad, Central Command Council, Major General(Rtd) Helal Morshed Khan, and Commander, Jamalpur District Muktijoddha Sangsad, District Command Council, Md Shafiqul Islam Khoka, among others, spoke at the meeting.
